Betty Sims

Betty B. Sims, 87, of Trussville, AL, went to be with her Lord on October 28, 2023. She was born June 20, 1936, to James M. "Jim" and Earline Bain. She was a dedicated wife and mother, a doting grandmother, and a loyal friend to many.  Mrs. Sims is survived by her son, Rick Sims (Teresa) of Birmingham, AL; granddaughters, Ashley Lockwood (Stewart), Michele Clark (Donnie), Jamie Sims, and Kaylee Sims; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Stanford Sims; son, Stanley B. "Stan" Sims; parents, Jim and Earline Bain; brother, Harold Bain; and sister, Linda Goodwin. Friends and family will be received from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 1 at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home in Trussville, AL. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m., with a graveside service immediately following at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East.
