Betty Jean Lee

Betty Jean Lee, age 92, passed away on Aug. 6, 2025. Betty was a member of Temple Baptist Church in Cullman. She was also a longtime member at First Baptist Church of Centerpoint and Hilldale Baptist Church. Mrs. Lee taught Sunday School for many years to children, adults and seniors. Mrs. Lee enjoyed horseback riding and baseball. She was saved at Boyles Baptist Church at the age of 13. She was preceded in death by her husband James Lee, Sr. and daughter Tamara Ann Buckner; two brothers, Robert Carl Smith and Ellis Aaron Smith.

Betty is survived by her two sons James Edward (Pamela Battles) Lee, Jr. and Kent M. (Priscilla Ann) Lee; seven grandchildren, Jamie Lee (Alfredo) Morales, Harrison Lee, Stuart (Randi) Lee, Lori Renae King, Lisa Michelle (John) Goodson, Justin Hopkins, Britney Shea Lay; twelve great-grandchildren, Levi Lee, Hannah Lee, Abigal Morales, Houston Lee, Easton Lee, Maggie Morales, Noah Morales, Emily Stevens, Aaron Stevens, Ava Grace Horsley, C.J. Sanderson, Shelby Sanderson, Madison Hopkins, Savanah Hopkins; great-great-grandchildren, Bobbie Kate Horsley, Ethan Hopkins, Carter Hopkins, Killian Lay; sister, Gail Charlene (David) Weaver Lambert.

She was known by her grandchildren by Granny, Grandmother and Mamaw. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and the friends she knew.
