Betty Jean Barlow, age 76, passed away Sunday, June 21, 2026. She was born on December 7, 1949 in Birmingham, Alabama.

Betty lived a life full of faith, love, and laughter. Her smile and laugh would light up any room. After working many years at the Eye Foundation, she became a dedicated wife & mother. She had a special heart for children. She was a foster parent through lifeline for several years, as well as an after school teacher at Trussville Elementary. She was also a very talented Seamstress. She made baby blankets through an organization at First Baptist Trussville for the last several years. She loved to travel (especially the beach)! She was always willing to go anywhere as long as she got to be with her girls and her grandkids. She had a gift for making everyone feel loved and welcomed.

She was an active and faithful member of First Baptist Church of Trussville.

She is survived by; Jimmy Tyson (Becky) – Brother; Pam Davis – daughter (husband – Ben, kids – Lancy, Jacob (wife Casey and son Brooks); Cindy Trotman – Daughter (husband – Keith, kids – Taylor Hicks (husband is Sawyer, daughter – Wynnie); Jackson Trotman (wife – Abby).

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jesse A. Barlow Jr.; and her parents James and Helen Tyson.

Pastor Skot Montgomery will be Officiating

Honorary Pallbearers will be: Ben Davis, Keith Trotman, Jacob Davis, Jackson Trotman, and Jimmy Tyson.
