Benny Gilchrist

Benny A. Gilchrist, Sr., age 75 of Birmingham, AL passed away on May 21, 2009. He was a member of Dawson Memorial Baptist Church. He retired from Greyhound Bus Lines. He is survived by his son, Benny Gilchrist, Jr. of Birmingham, AL; mother, Edith Gilchrist of Birmingham, AL; sister, Gussie Oliver (Robert) of Hoover, AL; brother, Martin F. Gilchrist (Florine) of Blountsville, AL; granddaughter, Leslie Passmore; great grandson, Caleb Passmore; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 26, 2009 from 10 to 11AM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at 11AM at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East.
