Barbara Williams Wright

Barbara Williams Wright, affectionately known as "Babs" and “BeBe” to family, passed away on June 10, 2026. Barbara was born January 14, 1943 in Marion County, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her parents Thomas L. Williams and Mae Christine Williams (nee Hardin), brother Donald L. Williams, and her beloved husband of 55 years Robert Earl Wright. 

She is survived by her son Robert Justin Wright (Aimee), granddaughter Olivia M. Wright, and grandson R. Ethan Wright. Sisters Lynette Broxson (Don) of Kimberly, AL, Jane Moore (Phillip) of Daphne, AL and Tina Kell (Derrick) of Gadsden, AL. Brothers Anthony W. Williams (Alexis) of Scottsboro, AL, Thomas Michael Williams (Roberta) of Locust Fork, AL, a very special niece, Leslie Wright of Nashville, TN and a host of other nieces and nephews. 

Barbara was a graduate of Walker County High School who forged a career with Alagasco, then transitioned to a career in banking with 1st American, and ultimately retired from Regions Bank in the role of Executive Project Coordinator. After retirement she took great pride in her grandchildren and assisted with child care in their early years. The funeral service will be at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 13th at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Trussville followed by burial at Jefferson Memorial’s adjoining gardens. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until service time. A dear friend and family member, Ben Sorrell, is officiating.
