Barbara S. Peace, age 88, of Cullman, passed away February 21, 2026. She retired from the Alabama Highway Department in 1988, was of the Baptist Faith, and loved Alabama Football, jigsaw puzzles, and crossword puzzles. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband Robert Peace, parents Gladys and Cullen Sykes, brothers Billy Sykes, Bobby Sykes (Barbara), and Donald Sykes (Shirley), and brother-in-law Gary Morrison. She is survived by her daughter Robin Thompson, sister Carol Morrison, Nephew Kevin Morrison, Billy Sykes, Walter Sykes, Derek Sykes, Niece Teresa Sykes, grandchildren Jessica Thompson (Scott), Miranda Childers (Nicholas), great grandchildren Zakk Thompson and Lilly Thompson, and numerous nieces and nephews. Chapel services will be on Friday, February 27th, 2026, at 2pm, with visitation from 1-2pm. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
