Barbara Lee
Fazel
Mar 14, 1964 — Aug 3, 2026
It is with sad hearts to report that Barbara L. Fazel, daughter of Rosalind Fazel and Gary Fazel (deceased), went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 3, 2026, after a long bout with numerous health issues. She is survived by her mother, Rosalind Fazel; sister, Deborah Galey-Tucker (Byron), and nephew , Gil Galey and his children, grandniece Adelé and grandnephew Zephyr Galey, numerous aunts and uncles and cousins. She is preceded in death by her father, Gary Fazel, stepmother, Alice Fazel, her paternal and maternal grandparents, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Barbara was a CPC for a number of years. Her last position was as a cashier at the Winn-Dixie on Montclair Road. She is remembered fondly as a very personable engaging person by many former customers and numerous co-workers and friends.
Barbara was an ardent Alabama fan, having many T-shirts, pants, and blankets with the Alabama logo. She would call or text her family and friends whenever the team scored or won a game. When she called, you could expect a rousing “Roll Tide” as her way of greeting. She liked to cook and really liked Mexican food as well, especially homemade (by her sister) pizza.
Barbara was not able to get out and about much in the last few years due to her health. She used phone and text messages to stay in touch with everyone. She had been looking forward to becoming more mobile until the lastest health issues made that impossible. Barbara is now with her Heavenly Father, those who have preceded her, and has no pain and is not suffering.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a yet to be determined date and place.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Diabetes Society in Barbara’s name.
Arrangements for cremation were handled by Jefferson Memorial Gardens.
