Barbara Ann Black

Age 88 of Gardendale, AL went to be with her Lord, Jesus Christ on August 8, 2015. She was a past member of Hilldale Baptist Church but was invalid for many years. She presently resided at the Village at Cook Springs Nursing Home under excellent care. She loved needlepoint, cross-stitch, Iron Chief and Westerns. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert O. Black; parents, Otto Rector and Mable Boston Rector; brother, Frank Rector. She is survived by her daughters, Deborah Black Ridgeway (Al) and Brenda Ann Black; sister, Geraldine Rector Chambliss; brother, Rodney Rector; and grandson, Christopher Ryan Bertoli. Services will be held Wednesday, August 12, 2015 with visitation from 2-3PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. A graveside service will immediately follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East.
