Ava Ruth Love Putman, age 75, of Argo, Alabama, passed away on July 1, 2026. Born on June 23, 1951, in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, Ruth lived a life defined by faith, love, and devotion to her family and her Lord. She is survived by her beloved husband of 55 years, Harold Wayne Putman; her son, Harold Wayne Putman II of Trussville, Alabama; her daughter, Ava Elizabeth Andrews and husband Paul of Alabaster, Alabama; her cherished grandson, Christopher; and her brothers, David Love and Charles Virgil Love. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Emma Sue Love; her brothers, John G. Love, Jimmie Love, and Oliver Fred Love; and her sister, Maggie Turner. Ruth faithfully devoted more than 60 years of her life to serving the Lord. She was a gifted pianist who faithfully played for her church, using her musical talent to glorify God and bless those around her. Her unwavering faith was the foundation of her life and a source of strength to her family. She will be remembered as a loving wife, devoted mother, proud grandmother, caring sister, and faithful friend. Her kindness, gentle spirit, and steadfast faith touched the lives of all who knew her, and her legacy of love will continue through the family she cherished. Though she will be deeply missed, her memory will live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know and love her. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in her memory.
