Arthur Odell Wooten

Arthur Odell Wooten, age 86, passed away on September 9, 2025. He loved to go fishing and watch NASCAR. Another love that he had was working on cars and having built them from the ground up and restoring them. He loved going camping whether in a tent or his fifth wheel camper. Odell worked as a truck driver for Bruno's. Mr. Wooten was preceded in death by his son Bret Watlington; parents, Arthur and Mildred Wooten; five grandchildren, Pamela Martin, Lydia Martin, Sandy Martin, J.R. Martin, Zachary Smith; sister, Darsey Ann Branham; three brothers, George "Buddy" Wooten, R.C. Wooten, Chester Wooten.

Odell is survived by his wife Sharron Wooten; six children, Teresa (Bob) McDowell, Kay (David) Martin, Esther (Mike) Harper, Dell Ray (Michelle) Wooten, Thomas (Tracey) Wooten, Carl (Myra) Watlington; twelve grandchildren, Alicia Martin, Jesse Martin, Aaron Martin, Samantha Harper, Megan Harper, Craig Wooten, Tanner Wooten, Kyle Wooten, Leigha Watlington, Ava Watlington, Cody (Madie) Watlington; six great-grandchildren, Chloe Watlington, Thomas Watlington, Chris Harper, Malia Harper, Grayson Watlington; sisters, Betty Smith, Ester (Bill) Hunt, Linda Beggs; brothers, Ray (Cathy) Wooten and Donna "Roger" Evans.

Visitation will be on Friday, September 12, 2025, from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. There will be a Chapel service at 2:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Wooten Chapel Cemetery in Vestavia Hills.
