Anna Barksdale

Mrs. Anna M. Barksdale, age 83, of Birmingham, Alabama passed away on November 29, 2022.   She was the daughter of the late W. Lonnie and Jimmie Dendy McCreless from Douglas, Alabama.

Anna is preceded in death by her husband James Sharrod Barksdale and her sister, Janet Pruitt.  She is survived by her sons, Darren Williamson (Julia) and Brandon Williamson (Melanie), and grandchildren, Luke, Ryan and Ava.  A longtime resident of Pinson, AL and later of Caldwell Crossings in Hoover, she had many neighborhood friends.  She loved family, traveling, and social activities with friends.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations to either the Alzheimer’s Association or the Dementia Society of America.

The visitation for friends and family will be held on  Friday, November 2, 2022 at  1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.  graveside service at Jefferson Memorial in Trussville, Alabama.
