Amanda Pair

February 25, 1982 — June 5, 2022

Amanda Lee (Morgan) Pair

Amanda Lee (Morgan) Pair was born February 25, 1982, in Trussville, Alabama, and graduated from Hewitt Trussville High School and Auburn University.

Amanda lived a life with great purpose. That purpose showed through in everything she did: as a loving wife, mother, sister, and daughter; a wonderfully loyal friend; an amazingly talented photographer; a dutiful volunteer for the Vestavia Hills Elementary Liberty Park PTO; and, most importantly, as a follower of Christ. She brought love, excitement, purpose, and even some well-timed sarcasm to everything—effortlessly drawing others to her along the way who wanted to be a part of the light that shined so brightly within her. She was always open with others about her journey as a Christian and with life, which was unexpectedly rerouted when she was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer in September 2021. Despite the devastating diagnosis, Amanda’s faith and Christ-given strength never once let that evil disease succeed in altering her attitude, her fight, or her faith. She used every minute of her time left on earth to continue her purpose in loving others around her fiercely and focusing on her Savior faithfully.

After a few difficult early months upon diagnosis, she was miraculously shown to be cancer free in January 2022 and we were given a brief period of wellness to enjoy a little more time with her, for which we are forever thankful. Amanda was once again active and even took part in the Mercedes-Benz Marathon 1-mile fun run with her husband, Allen, and daughters, Ava and Anna. She continued living life to the absolute fullest, celebrating her 40th birthday with Allen and friends during a week-long excursion to the British Virgin Islands and enjoying a family vacation to Key Largo, before discovering that another mutation of her cancer had spread. With incredible grace and insight, she knew this diagnosis was different and began talking of soon meeting Jesus. But first, Amanda and the entire family were able to enjoy an extended Mother’s Day weekend at the beach, one last vacation together that we were given by the mercy and grace of God.

Every step along her journey she fought the good fight, she finished the race, and she certainly kept the faith. Though those of us left behind are mourning our tremendous loss, we celebrate heaven’s gain and rejoice that today she is wearing the crown of righteousness, which the Lord awarded to her when she left us on Sunday, June 5, 2022.

Amanda is now reunited in heaven with her father, Doug Morgan, though she leaves behind so many who love and miss her dearly: her loving and devoted husband, Allen; her beautiful daughters, Ava and Anna; her mother, Deb Wood (Allen); her brothers, Matthew Morgan (Alison) and Micah Morgan; in-laws, Lawrence and Sheree Pair; eight nieces and nephews; her precious dog and constant companion, Boogie; and a host of other family and friends who will miss her smile, her laughter, her sarcasm, and her friendship for the rest of our days. Yet thanks be to God that we know one day we will once again be reunited with our precious sister in Christ.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at The Church at Liberty Park (12001 Liberty Parkway, Vestavia, Alabama 35242) on Friday, June 10 with a visitation at 10:00 am and service to follow at 12:00 pm.
