Allen Duncan

DUNCAN, (ALLEN) JOHN, age 83, formerly of Birmingham, Alabama, and currently of Wilkesboro, North Carolina, passed away on Tuesday, July 27, 2010. He was a member of McElwain Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, Mervin and Parsie Duncan; his sister, Lillian Poole; his brother, Bill Duncan; his wife, Margaret Duncan; and his son, Mike Duncan. He is survived by two sisters, Myrtle Richardson and Mildred Duncan; his brother, Paul Duncan; his daughter, Michele Duncan Smith; and grandchildren, Carrie Smith Leonard, Erin Duncan, and Michael Duncan. He served as a Seaman 1st Class in the United States Navy from 11-20-45 until his honorable discharge on 10-11-47. Funeral services will be Monday, August 2, 2010, at 2:00 at Jefferson Memorial Chapel with burial in Sunrise Memory Gardens. Rev. Jim Smith will be officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00pm, Monday. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
