Charles Tuggle, age 87, of Trussville, passed away November 15, 2019. He was retired from the Federal Government and Alabama Power Company as an accountant and was a member of Deerfoot Baptist Church. He was born in Trigg County, KY in 1932 and graduated from Hopkinsville High School where he was a football letterman. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting from Tennessee Tech University and served in the Air Force in the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his parents Malcolm Ural and Georgianna Patterson Tuggle, son Barry Reed Tuggle, siblings Marjorie Armistead, Anna Hopper, Geneva Harper, Betty Housley, James Malcolm Tuggle, Thomas Tuggle, Winston Tuggle, and John Tuggle. Visitation will be from 11am until Noon Friday with Chapel services following. Reverend Glenn Sandifer and Reverend James Long will officiate. Charles is survived by his wife who just celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary Patricia, son Timothy Tuggle (Nancy), daughter in law Sallie Brand, sisters Barbara Fetting (Alan) of Columbia, MD, Becky Burd of Pembroke, KY, grandchildren Karly Gowins (Garrett), Kasey Summers (Taylor), Lila Brand, Reed Brand, and Wally Brand, great grandchildren Sam Gowins, Ellie Summers and many nieces and nephews. “Tuggle” greatly loved his family and Kentucky Basketball. We love you “Chuck Chuck” and can’t wait to see you again. Memorials may be made to Deerfoot Baptist Church.
